Pray for our Pastor Search Committee

Music Ministry Notes

by Allen Cade, Minister of Music

In Loving Memory of...

So Much To Be Grateful For…

♫ Thanks to James Weil and the Overton High School Chamber Orchestra for their excellent concert presented in our sanctuary on May 4. What a blessing to hear beautiful music shared by such fine young people. We hope this will be the first of many more programs we can host by this group.

♫ Saints Alive Choir Notes:

We had a great experience at the Associational TuneSharing, May 6. I was grateful for the large number of our choir who were able to make the event. Also, we are thankful not only for Mike Albert’s accompaniment skill but also for his faithfulness to the choir. Finally, thanks to Bro. John for attending TuneSharing and providing support for our group.

Remember: Saints Alive Choir rehearsals resume in August!

♫ Thanks to all who shared in the Music Celebration Service, May 25. What a joy to have so many from our church sing and play heart-felt songs of testimony. Thanks to the following fine folks who were part of the service: Mike and Becki Albert, Becky Albertson, Debbie Beard, Verna Bohannon, Debbie Cade, Nicklaus Carter, Leslie Duffy, Brian Hare, Jeff Maxwell, Jared Parham, John Scott, Eddie Slusser, Jennifer Talley, James Weil, the Sanctuary Choir, and the APBC Praise Band.                 SOLI DEO GLORIA!

The Sanctuary Choir needs U!

Summer can be a great time to get involved with this wonderful ministry group. The Sanctuary Choir plays a vital role as worship leader in our morning worship services. Rehearsals begin at 6:15 P.M. each Wednesday so that you won’t be out too late.

Say “Yes” to God’s call in your life by adding your voice in worship leadership through the Sanctuary Choir!

VBS 2008: POWER LAB

Discovering Jesus’ Miraculous Power

VBS is one of our biggest outreach ministries of the year. Last summer, “Take the Plunge”, was a huge success and this year we hope “POWER LAB” will be even bigger! Invite family, friends, coworkers and neighbors to bring children from preschool age to rising 6th graders for 4 days of electrifying fun that will help them discover Jesus’ miraculous power.

“The King’s Kids”

Children K-5th grade

Now that AWANA is finished for the year, our Wednesday night summer program known as “The King’s Kids”, is in full swing. Each Wednesday, there will be a short Bible study, fun games and activities. If you can be in charge of coordinating and hosting “The King’s Kids” one Wednesday night this summer, please call the church office.

On Sunday, June 1st we will vote on the final seven people that will make up the Pastor’s search committee. Please be in prayer for this vote and for the nominees as they begin the process of finding our new Pastor.

Once the final seven have been established, book marks with all seven names listed will be printed and handed out  to the congregation as a reminder to lift each person up in daily prayer.

Our Deepest Sympathy

The staff and congregation of Audubon Park

Baptist Church extends deepest sympathy to the families of Boyce Graham, Vivian Carson, Leona Trussell and Lila Berry in death of her nephew.

Thank You
